Energy Audits

Are we confident we’ll find you savings?

Definitely. We expect to find real value for our clients hidden away within their day to day energy consumption. If a situation ever arose whereby savings did not cover the cost of the report there would be no charge

The Benefits

·       There are opportunities to lower your bills, year on year

·       The report provides a path to insulate against future energy price rises

·       Businesses increasingly prefer to demonstrate a corporate social responsibility

·       Improving efficiency makes complying with energy efficiency legislation easier

What will the report tell us?

Energy audits are a fairly in depth survey of a building and the way it is used. It includes evaluation of the building’s services and equipment with the aim of reducing on going energy costs. The survey results in a comprehensive and fully costed report that helps organisations to reduce their spending on energy and water, year on year.

The survey uses a method of assessment that enables forecasting of a range of energy efficiency improvements and details the potential annual savings in pounds (£s) and well as the reduction in CO2 emissions, KWHs and reduced water use. The return on the investment is also projected where capital expenditure is needed.

Which parts of the building are inspected?

Within the survey we evaluate the standard of the building fabric, the energy use of lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, hot water, cold water use, IT equipment and possibilities for renewable energy.

The occupancy pattern and the way the building is used and controlled is evaluated as is the pervious year’s energy and water spend.

PPN 006: Your Fast Track to Sustainable, Compliant Procurement

Public sector buyers are raising the bar, and PPN 006 is the test every supplier must pass. As government departments tighten their sustainability expectations, the firms that can demonstrate credible carbon reporting and a robust Carbon Reduction Plan will secure a clear competitive edge in panel reviews and tendered work. Those who get ahead now will dominate tenders for years to come. Those who don’t? They’ll watch the contracts go elsewhere. We break down what PPN 006 really demands—and how smart London law firms are turning compliance into a powerful competitive advantage.

The Carbon Credit Illusion

In the race to become ‘net zero’, more and more companies are turning to carbon credits to offset their emissions. On paper, it sounds like a win: emit carbon here, pay someone to reduce it somewhere else and you’re off the hook.
